Pre owned with some signs of age/use. The red cloth hardback cover is in good condition. Boards and spine hinges holding well, no splitting. Gilt title on front board and spine still bright. Some fading of the red cloth noticeable, along with some mild staining/scuffs. Shelf wear along the edges of the boards, corners a little bumped.

Text block in good condition, no highlighting/inscriptions or notes. Top edge gilt, scuffed and faded. Other two edges are untrimmed. Overall text block binding is firm, no missing or loose pages. Mild foxing dotted throughout.


Overall remains in good reading condition, an attractive edition with many Doré illustrations, with as described signs of age, use and wear.
