The spine is particularly discoloured/darkened, with some small tearing at the top, and some crushing at the bottom. Gilt title and Illustrations remain bright on the front board, spine gilt darkened. Boards are holding well, binding good overall, although webbing visible at gutter at a few points throughout the text block.
Text block a little cocked/slanted. End pages yellowed, foxing noticeable. Top edge gilt, darkened. Gilt dwarf line drawings bright across paste downs and end pages. All colour illustrations present and in good condition, all titled tissue guards present, a little creased. Spotting/foxing dotted throughout. No previous owner inscriptions.
Overall a little rough around the edges but remains in good reading condition. Beautiful Illustrations by the wonderful Charles Robinson.
