There is no print year on the title page, however the publisher and style is that of early 1900’s editions.
The book measures 8cm x 12cm. Both front and back boards are a white metal pinned to red leather, no noticeable hallmarks so unlikely silver. Spine red leather with gilt title. Front board has an attractive engraved cross with IHS engraved in its centre. Page edges are red under gold gilt.
Please check all photographs for a good understanding of the condition.
Pre owned with some signs of age/use. The metal covers have light scratches, spots of discolouration/blemishes, and a couple of minor dents. The boards are holding well, firm with no exterior or interior cracking of the hinges. Slight wear to the leather of the spine, gilt title remains bright.
Stiff paper end papers and paste downs strengthen the binding, gilt line runs along outer edge of inside covers. Text block in good reading condition. Mild Yellow toning of the pages all throughout, overall text block is holding strong with no loose/missing pages. Some mild foxing dotted throughout contents. Page edges are gilded, some dulling and slight scratches noticeable. One ribbon page marker present, slightly discoloured. Pencil pricing numbers written on first end paper, no other inscriptions or notes.
Overall remains in good reading condition, an attractive and scarce collectible edition, with as described signs of age, use and wear.
