The book measures 15cm x 21cm.
Bound in red cloth publishers binding with intricate white swirl pattern. Gilt Hans Andersen title central to the front board, Gilt title on spine, still bright. The spine is a little sunned, edges of the boards also a little discoloured. Corners bumped, head and tail of spine a little crushed. Boards holding well, not splitting.
End pages and paste downs have a green swirl design matching the cover, Rex Whistlers initials RW printed central to the pages as part of the design. Ex Libris space on front pastedown as part of the design, remains blank.
Text block binding firm, complete and in generally good condition. Mild foxing/toning but overall in clean state. The page edges are dyed red/pink to blend with the cover, although this has faded and discoloured in parts.
Overall remains in good reading condition, with as described signs of age and wear. A scarce and collectible edition with classic fairy tales, and iconic Rex Whistler illustrations
