The book measures 11cm x 16cm.
Binding solid and firm. Dark red leather blind stamped boards. Some scuffing/wear dotted across surface, generally remains in good condition. Gilded title on both front and rear. Ornate brass corners and working clasp, with attractive etching. Attractive gilded and gauffered page edges, remain bright overall with a small amount of rubbing. Marbled end papers/paste downs. Pencil inscription on blank end page, E. M. Holmes. Contents is complete, clean but a little page toned/foxing. Appears little used. Ribbon page markers in worn deteriorated condition.

The book measures 8.5cm x 13cm.
Condition overall very similar to the Bible. The clasp is a different design, fully functional and attractive. Pencil inscription on blank end page, plus the half title page has a faint pencil inscription. Pages toned but little used. Bottom gilt edge a little rubbed.
The books are housed in the original brown leather box, red silk lined padded interior. Top hinge flap, with open out front. Clasp mechanism faulty. The leather is scuffed and worn in parts, interior is a little marked and grubby. Remains functional storage, hinges firm, faulty clasp keeps lid in place just not sealed.
