Diamond 128mo. (Type). The book measures 4.5cm x 5.5cm, 1.5cm thick. Bound in a beautiful tree calf binding, calfskin that has been acid etched to resemble a tree design. With attractive floral end papers, and gilt roll along the boards edges. Includes frontispiece of Jesus.
Rear inside cover has a sellers sticker, Frank Smythson, 133 New Bond Street. Frank Smythson, commonly known as Smythson is a British manufacturer and retailer of luxury stationery, leather goods, diaries, and fashion products based in London, England. The company's founder, Frank John Smythson, was born in 1847 at Holborn and was a son of Marcus Alfred Smythson, a professor of music. He opened his first store on 29 September 1887 at 133 New Bond Street in London (The address matching sellers sticker in this book).
Smythson's current flagship store is located nearby at 131-132 New Bond Street. Smythson's clients have included the current British royal family, Queen Victoria, many UK politicians and prime ministers, Sir Edmund Hillary, Madonna, and Grace Kelly.

Pre owned with some signs of age/use. The binding is good, some light scratches and small spots of wear. Edges a little worn, corners slightly bumped. Gilt flowers on spine, gilt lines still bright. Common prayer title on spine could be missing a leather overlay, though text still visible.
Boards holding well, firm with no exterior or interior cracking of the hinges. Text block in good reading condition. Mild Yellow toning of the pages all throughout, overall text block is holding strong with no loose/missing pages. Page edges are gilded, some dulling and slight scratches noticeable. Previous owner ink inscriptions on the first blank end paper.
Overall remains in good reading condition, an attractive and scarce collectible edition, with as described signs of age, use and wear.
