First edition in publishers standard blue cloth. Gilt title to front board and spine. Some shelf wear, rubbing of the edges of the boards and top/bottom of spine. A few light marks across the surface. End pages and paste downs yellowed/mildly foxed. Ink inscription on ffep with initials P.R.C. 1912. Text block a little toned, some mild foxing mostly outer margins, page edges particularly foxed. Top edge gilt, dulled and a bit worn. Page edges untrimmed, page edge of 202/203 has small tear in margin, no loss and doesn't affect text. Likely caused when original owner cut/separated the uncut pages. All illustrations present and in good condition, mild toning. Overall binding remains tight and firm.
Overall remains in good reading condition. A scarce first edition, containing wonderfully fascinating Myths and Legends, beautifully illustrated throughout.
