There are some signs of age, use and wear. The cream coloured hardcover is in good condition, no splitting of the spine or boards. Gilded titles worn, some discolouration of the boards and spine, shelf wear along the edges and corners a little bent. Overall binding remains tight and firm. Some typical age related page discolouration/foxing dotted throughout, all text and illustrations are legible. Lovely coloured frontispiece, tissue guard a little foxed, all other illustrations not in colour. Top edge gold gilded, other edges rough cut. No previous owner inscriptions.


Overall the book remains in good reading condition, a scarce antique collectible edition. With as described signs of age, use and wear to be expected.
